The Back to Basics NAPLAN-style series provides children with the opportunity to practise NAPLAN-style questions in readiness for the Year 3 NAPLAN Reading & Writing tests. This book has been divided between Reading in the front section and Writing in the back section. A variety of narrative, persuasive and information text types are covered in both parts.
The Reading section provides: 11 reading units at three different levels of difficulty - beginner, medium and advanced comprehension questions for each unit, with tips 3 NAPLAN-style reading tests for each level
The Writing section provides extensive information, assessment grids, planning sheets and practice for four text types. These are Persuasive, Narrative, Recount and Explanation. NAPLAN-style Writing test is included for each featured text type, using the 16 page, pull-out Reading booklet. Answers for all of the units and tests are provided at the back of the book.
